Terroir
Our wines are an expression of place, steeped in the chill of the ocean, stoked in the heat of the valley. The entire ecosystem affects the quality and expression of a grape which is why we only source from the small patches of earth that promise truly unique fruit.
West Sonoma Coast
Rooted in Goldridge soils and tucked into the base of west-facing hills, a mere seven miles from the Pacific Ocean in the village of Freestone, the grapes here live on a climatic knife-edge. The fruit that makes it through to harvest is as hearty as it is complex.

Sonoma Mountain
In the mountains that separate Sonoma Valley from the Santa Rosa plain, lie our eastern most blocks. The vineyard’s east facing orientation on the lower steps of Sonoma Mountain is perfectly positioned to breath in the cool air, wind, and fog rolling though the Petaluma Gap.

Anderson Valley
Ten miles inland from the cliff lined Mendocino coast, we source grapes from a number of small blocks dotted on both the western and eastern slopes of the valley. The valley’s extreme temperature swings produce some of the most robust fruit in northern California.

Sonoma Coast and Petaluma Gap
As part of our mission to craft unique wines, we will, on occasion, bottle grapes harvested from more far flung vineyards. Regardless of the source, our goal is always to capture the particular promise of the terroir’s combination of earth, sky, and sun.
